Pending For Physical Police Verification

Its been 2 days since i have been to wakad police station still the status of application same pending for physical police verification at wakad police station. Entering the side block meant for passport police verification and one may think that one has been transported to an abandoned office from the 19th century. I thought the status will change in 2 3 days but now its been more than 10 days and still status is saying police verification is pending.
